As Owner and Chairman at Generations, Melody Gabriel embodies the heart and soul of the company, serving as the guardian of its culture, values, and long-term vision. With over 35 years of experience in the senior care industry, including a decade as CEO, Melody brings a unique perspective shaped by growing up in the family business.
Generations, a fifth-generation family company with an 80-year legacy, is transitioning leadership to a non-family member for the first time. This transition to Dan Lamey as CEO marks a new chapter in the company's storied history, with Melody continuing to play a crucial advisory role. With a focus on building a strong bench of female leadership, Melody has well-prepared the company for a historic transition.
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer at Generations, Dan Lamey brings the strategic vision, operational expertise and servant leadership needed to guide the family-owned organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation. With more than 30 years of experience in the senior living industry, including leadership across 27 properties and over 2,200 employees, Dan brings a unique perspective shaped by decades spent leading family-owned organizations known for operational excellence, strong cultures and exceptional resident experiences.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer at Generations, Kristin Walker brings a unique blend of financial acumen and reverence for the senior care industry to her role. With 9 years of dedicated service to Generations, Kristin has been instrumental in steering the organization's financial strategy and operations through an unprecedented pandemic and periods of rapid growth.
With 18+ years of experience and a Master's degree in Accounting, Kristin provides a high level of expertise to her role as well as a balancing force when it comes to managing complex financial challenges and opportunities. She is passionate about knowledge sharing and takes pride in fostering the growth and development of the accounting team, following the mantra, “we fail and succeed together.”
