Generations Appoints Senior Living Executive Dan Lamey as Chief Executive Officer

Industry veteran with more than 30 years of leadership experience will guide the family-owned organization into its next chapter of growth and innovation.

CLACKAMAS, Ore., July 29, 2026 — Generations, a family-owned senior living organization operating 15 communities across five states and employing more than 1,400 people, today announced the appointment of Dan Lamey as Chief Executive Officer. Lamey succeeds Kathy LeVee, who is stepping down after six years of leading the organization.

A respected senior living executive with more than three decades of experience, Lamey has spent the majority of his career leading family-owned organizations known for operational excellence, strong cultures, and exceptional resident experiences across 27 properties and over 2,200 employees. His appointment reflects Generations’ continued commitment to preserving its values-driven culture while positioning the organization for long-term growth.

“Dan brings the rare combination of strategic vision, operational expertise and servant leadership that aligns perfectly with who we are as an organization,” said Melody Gabriel, Owner of Generations. “Throughout the selection process, what impressed us most wasn’t simply his experience—it was his genuine belief in our mission and his commitment to creating communities where residents, families and team members thrive. We are excited to welcome him to Generations and confident he will build upon the strong foundation Kathy helped create.”

“I’m honored to join an organization whose mission resonates so deeply with my own values,” said Lamey. “Generations has built an extraordinary legacy centered on people, relationships and purpose. I look forward to partnering with our teams across every community to build on that legacy, continue delivering exceptional experiences for those we serve, and thoughtfully shape the future of our organization.”

Lamey added:

I am excited to join the Generations family to continue their mission of bringing generations together in the joy of living and everything it means to be human. To have an opportunity to support the legacy and vision of an industry pioneer like Wendell White and his family was exactly what I wanted to do at this stage of my career, and I look forward to continuing that vision as we move forward as a company.”
