What a nightmare. My sweet 94 year old Mama lived here from November 2025 thru March 2026 while I was finishing a remodel on our home. The care staff/cnas are very sweet & esp Hannah and Bailey. The nurse Jamie is also very knowledgeable helpful and kind. But that’s where it ends. It feels more like a hospital than assisted living, the building is in disrepair (from the outside paint, concrete and doors/elevators that don’t work periodically and dirty carpets) and very drab – even the “activity room” lacks color. Mama was often in the same clothes for 2 days – even if stained with food. The activities are limited and they often failed to check with my wheelchair bound mother to see if she wanted to participate. Weirdly, you have to “buy in” with quarters to play bingo and I’m assuming the same is true for the weekly poker games. Dining is restricted to 3 specific times of day – miss it and you are mostly on your own, it seems. Also weirdly, they have assigned seats in the dining room, mostly segregated by gender. Not sure what that is about- but it’s definitely odd. Despite telling the staff repeatedly that my diabetic mother should not have milk, there were many days I learned after the fact that she was pretty much living on milk and tomato soup – which caused general stomach issues. I don’t blame for skipping the meals her since the food is a cafeteria style, steam table bland mushy mess, often. I have no idea what the Executive Director even looks like since I’ve never met her. Taylor, the activities person is very sweet and appears to work there full time so I’m not sure there are so few actual “activities”. Transportation is limited – they share a bus with the Wexford and were never available for the distance or time of day my mother needed to be somewhere. I found out recently that there are senior transportation options in Loveland – these were never suggested to me. Here’s the kicker. When my mother’s mobility/bathroom needs took 30 minutes or so to manage, they politely invited us to find a new place for her. I was not informed this on our first visit and I was truly shocked. We did find an amazing new place for mother at Stoneridge @ Centerra – but when the laundry being done on her last day there got left in the room (instead of being brought to the front desk as I requested) they felt it was appropriate to charge her for 3 extra days (approx $750) – they certainly were not going to renovate the room over the weekend, so I feel that this is ridiculous – was told “I don’t make the rules”.

My grandfather lives here currently and it has been the best experience. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. My grandfather is happy and loves all the activities and socializing. I feel at ease knowing he is taken care of. I feel an incredible amount of gratitude!

Lakeview Commons was a lucky find for my family as we looked for a home for our mother. After about a year I am still impressed with the cleanliness, modern decor, activities, and the quality of the staff at what I found were reasonable rates. I have visited other assisted care facilities and this was by far the best in all categories.
