A message from our Executive Director, Anna Von Dreele

What I love most about The Windsor is its close-knit, small-town spirit—“small town, big heart” truly reflects who we are, and everyone knows your name. Our residents are funny, intelligent, and full of remarkable life stories that inspire me every day. Coming from Columbine, I appreciate that Generations shares the same family-centered culture, where people come first, relationships are valued, and caring and having fun help create a true home for residents. With an undergraduate degree in history and a master’s degree in social work, I have always been fascinated by people’s stories and how those experiences shape who they are and what they need. My first position at an adult day program in Chicago solidified my passion for this work, and although my career later included child protection, mentoring programs, and domestic violence services, I ultimately returned to serving older adults. More than 17 years later, I still come to work each day energized and inspired by the wonderful people I have the privilege to work with and care for.
