Independent Living in Loveland, Colorado

Independent Living in Loveland, CO starts at $3,218 per Month at Lakeview Commons

Independent living at Lakeview Commons in Loveland, Colorado starts at $3,218 per month for a studio apartment. This is a monthly rental rate with no long-term lease, and it covers daily dining, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, and all utilities. A one-time $2,000 entrance fee applies at move-in. The exact monthly rate depends on the floor plan.

What's Included in the Monthly Rate?

One monthly rate at Lakeview Commons covers:

  • Daily dining in the community’s dining room, plus scheduled dining events
  • Weekly housekeeping, so residents aren’t managing a full household on their own
  • Scheduled transportation for errands, appointments, and outings
  • Primary utilities, so there’s no separate bill to track

What Moves the Price Up or Down?

Two things mainly change the monthly rate from the starting price above:

  1. Unit type and size. A studio or one-bedroom apartment starts at the base rate; a larger apartment or a cottage-style residence costs more.
  2. Additional Fees. At Lakeview, independent living pricing is straightforward. Housekeeping and three meals a day are already part of the monthly rate, so there are no extra charges for cleaning or dining. Independent Living does not offer personal care. However, depending upon your situation, there may be additional fees such as a monthly second person fee, monthly pet fee, motorized scooter fee, or private garage fee.

Other one-time or recurring fees: a $2,000 one-time entrance fee, $600/month for a second person in the same residence.

How Families Typically Pay

Most families pay for independent living out of personal savings, retirement income, or proceeds from selling a home, sometimes combined with support from family members. Independent living is not a Medicare-covered service, and long-term care insurance or veteran benefits more commonly apply to higher levels of care rather than independent living itself — though every policy and situation is different. A Lakeview Commons advisor can walk through what applies to your specific circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Independent living at Lakeview Commons in Loveland starts at $3,218 per month for a studio apartment. One-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den, and two-bedroom floor plans start at $4,042, $4,482, and $5,129 per month respectively. A one-time $2,000 entrance fee applies at move-in.

The monthly rate includes daily dining, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, and all utilities — residents don’t manage those as separate bills or chores.

It depends on the home. When you add up a mortgage or rent, property taxes, maintenance, utilities, groceries, and the cost of arranging help around the house, many families find the all-in monthly rate compares favorably — but the right comparison depends on your specific home costs and needs. A Lakeview Commons advisor can help you run the numbers for your situation.

What a nightmare. My sweet 94 year old Mama lived here from November 2025 thru March 2026 while I was finishing a remodel on our home. The care staff/cnas are very sweet & esp Hannah and Bailey. The nurse Jamie is also very knowledgeable helpful and kind. But that's where it ends. It feels more like a hospital than assisted living, the building is in disrepair (from the outside paint, concrete and doors/elevators that don't work periodically and dirty carpets) and very drab - even the "activity room" lacks color. Mama was often in the same clothes for 2 days - even if stained with food. The activities are limited and they often failed to check with my wheelchair bound mother to see if she wanted to participate. Weirdly, you have to "buy in" with quarters to play bingo and I'm assuming the same is true for the weekly poker games. Dining is restricted to 3 specific times of day - miss it and you are mostly on your own, it seems. Also weirdly, they have assigned seats in the dining room, mostly segregated by gender. Not sure what that is about- but it's definitely odd. Despite telling the staff repeatedly that my diabetic mother should not have milk, there were many days I learned after the fact that she was pretty much living on milk and tomato soup - which caused general stomach issues. I don't blame for skipping the meals her since the food is a cafeteria style, steam table bland mushy mess, often. I have no idea what the Executive Director even looks like since I've never met her. Taylor, the activities person is very sweet and appears to work there full time so I'm not sure there are so few actual "activities". Transportation is limited - they share a bus with the Wexford and were never available for the distance or time of day my mother needed to be somewhere. I found out recently that there are senior transportation options in Loveland - these were never suggested to me. Here's the kicker. When my mother's mobility/bathroom needs took 30 minutes or so to manage, they politely invited us to find a new place for her. I was not informed this on our first visit and I was truly shocked. We did find an amazing new place for mother at Stoneridge @ Centerra - but when the laundry being done on her last day there got left in the room (instead of being brought to the front desk as I requested) they felt it was appropriate to charge her for 3 extra days (approx $750) - they certainly were not going to renovate the room over the weekend, so I feel that this is ridiculous - was told "I don't make the rules".

My grandfather lives here currently and it has been the best experience. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. My grandfather is happy and loves all the activities and socializing. I feel at ease knowing he is taken care of. I feel an incredible amount of gratitude!

Lakeview Commons was a lucky find for my family as we looked for a home for our mother. After about a year I am still impressed with the cleanliness, modern decor, activities, and the quality of the staff at what I found were reasonable rates. I have visited other assisted care facilities and this was by far the best in all categories.
